May 12, 2020  I got a eagle arms EA-15 with the serial number 9299 is it pre-ban. I tried to look up, but everyone says they don't give a list. The reason I asked the Barrel is a heavy cmp nato 1/7 with flash supressor and bayo lug? The year/serial numbers under Colt SP series was forwarded to me by an individual whose return address I no longer have. Double asterisk (.) under Bushmaster, a person on the internet e-mailed me that he had a lower that was shipped stripped (thus not a complete rifle) in 1991 from Bushmaster with serial #0327XX - ALWAYS CALL TO VERIFY.

Essential Arms (337) 945-0185 All are Pre-Ban as they went out of business in 1993. (DPMS bought them prior to the Ban) Call DPMS Lower receiver serial numbers begin with EA. Please follow the instructions listed below in the Customer Performed Diagnostic Test to determine if your rifle will need repair. If the serial number of your Armalite Model AR-10, SPR MOD 1, SPR MOD 2, M15 or Eagle-15 falls outside of the above serial number range, you may ignore this notice.

I need to know - Armalite/Eagle. (800)336-0184 Slightly over S/N 30,000 was the Pre-Ban cut-off, call to verify. (Some Eagle lowers below the 30,000 range were determined to be POST ban by BATF - call to verify) Armalite sells Eagle lowers, but sells factory complete rifles with Armalite lowers.

Armalite still sells complete Eagle Arms rifles. Here is a link to some good info and an Armalite serial number search. Also talks about eagle arms and essentail arms. This list will tell you what you need to know. USA VET Member Posts: 2 (12/30/02 3:48:12 am) Reply Edit Del Eagle Arms - There was a company by the name of Essential Arms that made lower receivers but not complete rifles, and they went out of business in 1989 which makes all of their receivers PRE-Ban. This does not really mean that you can put all of the bells and whistles of PRE-Ban guns on this receiver because the law states that in order for you to be able to posses a rifle with all of the features then the weapon had to be assembled as an assault rifle prior to the Ban. However, if you can prove that the weapon was put together prior to the ban then of coarse in theory this would be ok.

Eagle Arms Ar 15 Pre Ban Serial Numbers List

What I am getting at is, any weapon that has an Eagle Arms lower receiver that is associated with Armalite is Post-Ban and it is true that Eagle Arms cut off serial numbers are somewhere around 30,000. Now Essential Arms had the same type of raised E.A. And serial number but Essential called theirs J-15's. Hope this will help.
